WESLI, an artist born and raised in Haiti, is now thriving in Canada. A singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, he has become one of Haiti's most inspiring musical ambassadors. His unique compositions harmoniously blend traditional Haitian rhythms with a range of eclectic styles, reflecting his vast musical influences and experiences. WESLI's distinctive talent lies in fusing the vibrant sounds of his homeland with contemporary genres, captivating audiences worldwide. Born in 1980 in Port-au-Prince into a musical family, he sang from a young age alongside his mother in the local church's gospel choir. His father, Henri Louissaint, a banjo and percussion player, is well-known in the twoubadou style of Haitian folk music. WESLI has always been driven by a desire to serve Haitian society and culture by opening it up to new audiences. He has collaborated and shared the stage with Tiken Jah Fakoly, Magic System, Alpha Blondy, and many others. Since 2008, Wesli has performed on over 50 major festival stages in Canada, as well as touring the world, consistently delivering captivating performances.
