VioleTT Pi's music is the creative project of Karl Gagnon. VioleTT Pi is known for its audacity and risk-taking, for the torch of freedom it proudly carries, and for its unique universe. Its entry in 2012 with EP, followed by EV (2013), caused a stir in the musical world of its cousins, at a time when straying from the beaten path was the last thing anyone wanted. Manifeste contre la peur (2016) and Baloney Suicide (2023) confirm that Karl's universe is expanding and taking root within a growing population of marginalized individuals, thirsting for difference. VioleTT is joined by Daniel Baillargeon on guitar, Sylvain Deschamps on bass and keyboards (and co-production), and Maxime Drouin on drums. In concert, the group offers another dimension, a release of energy and sound, an outlet, a performance that leaves a lasting impression. Just ask Monique Giroux. Having been on the scene for over fifteen years of artistic experimentation where identity affirmation and sonic exploration take center stage, VioleTT Pi pursues an evolving approach, constantly pushing back the boundaries imposed by the industry and conventional good taste. With their fourth full-length album, Mythologie de la dérape (Mythology of the Skid), released in May 2026, they offer a new avenue, an ever more immersive and audacious sensory experience.
