Lemon Bucket Orkestra is Toronto's original Slavic punk brass band. This award-winning group has been described as frenetic, charismatic, and gloriously anarchic by The New York Times, The Guardian, the Winnipeg Free Press, and media outlets worldwide. For the past 16 years, they have performed all over the world, from WOMAD in England and New Zealand to Pohoda in Slovakia, from the Festival d'Été à Québec to the New Orleans Jazz Fest in Louisiana.
Equal parts exhilarating precision and reckless abandon, LBO's live performance offers a truly immersive experience, blending sweat and tears with audience choruses and howls to the moon. This journey can be heard on their most recent album, Cuckoo (self-released, May 2024). It's the signature LBO sound: powerful Ukrainian polyphonies and driving Balkan rhythms, filtered through hip-hop, punk, and jazz, along with a wide array of global influences and intentions shaped by their eclectic travels across the globe and their multicultural hometown of Toronto.
