Hailing from Quebec City, Jérôme 50 began his career as a street musician. Riding the wave of success from his debut album, *La hiérarchill*, and his project *Le camp de vacances de Jérôme 49*, Jérôme 50 saw his song "Tokébakicitte" break airplay records and climb to the top of the charts on French-language radio stations, followed by the resounding successes of "Les ramasseux d'canettes" and "Lit double." These three tracks appear on his second album, *Antigéographiquement*, released in November 2023. A staunch Quebec independence advocate, he published *Dictionnaire du chilleur* with Le Robert Québec in 2024. He then released the singles "La plus belle fille du moshpit," "Y'a pu d'poude dans poude," and "Le pauvre riche," which defined the ska-punk-folk-trash direction of the album *Anarcolique*, released on May 2, 2025.
